Childish Gambino released an album last week on his site. It was released at midnight but was removed 12 hours later. However, he finally released the full album this Sunday at 3 am. Surprisingly, the album is named after the original release date: 3.15.20. All the songs are now available on YouTube, iTunes, and Spotify.

Donald Glover or Childish Gambino releases new album 3.15.20

Album named 3.15.20, songs named timestamps

All of the songs of the new albums do not have any actual name, with 2 exceptions. Actually, the songs’ timestamp indicate where they fall on the album. Only two songs actually have titles – Algorythym and Time. Time is the latest collab between Childish Gambino and Ariana Grande. Very little information was available about this album pre-release. 21 Savage also sings alongside Glover in ‘12.38‘. Childish Gambino also collabs with Ludwig Göransson and Khadja Bonet in various songs.

Childish Gambino single-track album?

3.15.20 is available as a single-track album on his site, DonaldGloverPresents.com. The album is streaming continuously on a loop. Childish Gambino says:

To promote a communal vibe, fans across the globe can experience the album simultaneously at DonaldGloverPresents.com for a limited time.

No artwork is present on the website which hosted a four-panel cartoon strip last week. However, the photo of a handwritten notebook page serves as the background on the site. It says:

I met with an oracle on a friend’s recommendation
She cleansed me and told me three things:

Someone would die
I had a star on my head
Stay close to God

Then someone died. And my vision cleared. But I could not touch them. I felt on my own. Which had, before, always been enough.

I met w/ the oracle again in a different form. She asked me “How long do u think people wait?”

“As long as they need to?”

“They’re not going to wait forever.”…

Childish Gambino has often hinted that this might be his last album. So enjoy it while it lasts.
