About the Show

Professional wrestling is scripted. Mostly everything that you see on your TV screens is planned in advance. However, incidents and backstage politics have been a mainstay in World Wrestling Entertainment. Because of these factors, several controversies have emerged both on and off camera.

Dark Side of the Ring highlights such controversial stories. It features people with strong roots in the professional wrestling business (Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, Jim Cornette, etc.). Also, we get to hear the point of view of people close to the performer/familiar with the event in question.

In the first season, stories like the infamous “Montreal Screwjob” and “The Killing of Bruiser Body” were shed light on. This season, things will get a little darker as the Chris Benoit suicide controversy, as well as the Owen Hart death incident at a WWF event, will be covered.
