George R.R. Martin Is Healthy, Isolated And Writing Winds Of Winter Quickly
The perfect news that all of the book fans wanted to hear!
Fans have been begging on their knees to George RR Martin for almost a decade for the Winds of Winter. His books have changed pop culture and television for all times to come, thanks to Game of Thrones. However, the show’s disappointing ending left the fans hungry for way more. Moreover, people were even more scared during the outbreak of the CoronaVirus pandemic. But the fans have received good news from the man himself!
Fans were dreading the worst
Let’s just say fans of A Song of Ice and Fire aren’t the “nicest” to George over his lazy writing. And with the recent outbreak of CoronaVirus, they got even more worried about George’s own health. Some of them expressed their concern in their tweets, with some being mind-numbingly funny. You do have to remember that the fans still say all this out of love, for both George and Winds of Winter, his much-anticipated upcoming book in the saga.
George RR Martin is gonna use coronavirus as an excuse to not release The Winds of Winter, I’m bookmarking this

If you are George RR Martin, you should drop whatever disorganized, scribbled, half-written pages you have right now. You can make a killing and let's be real, you're never gonna finish 'em. This is your moment

Okay, the next one might have nothing to do with the virus, but it was a very cool remark at his writing. And we just couldn’t resist putting it here!

That’s a lot of “love” showed by the fans, but they finally have some good news to hear from the man himself about the Winds of Winter!
He’s healthy and kicking!
In a recent blog post, George RR Martin has revealed that he’s healthy, isolated, and more focused than ever on writing Winds of Winter! COVID-19 had everyone worried to death about the big man. And this news is a nice morale boost for the fans at a time when good news is hard to find. George wrote in his blog that:
But I feel fine at the moment, and we are taking all sensible precautions. I am off by myself in a remote isolated location, attended by one of my staff, and I’m not going in to town or seeing anyone. Truth be told, I am spending more time in Westeros than in the real world, writing every day. Things are pretty grim in the Seven Kingdoms… but maybe not as grim as they may become here.
Apart from his update on Winds of Winter, he also commented on the trying times we’re going through right now, saying:
Strange days are upon us. As ancient as I am, I cannot recall ever having lived through anything like the past few weeks.
He further added in the end:
Some days, watching the news, I cannot help feeling as if we are all now living in a science fiction novel.
News about his other ventures
He also revealed in the blog post that he’s closing down many of his ventures because of CoronaVirus. These include Meow Wold, Jean Cocteau Cinema, and his non-profit Stage Coach Foundation. However, his bookstore Beastly books will remain open, but no one should expect any book signings or readings. Although, the online mail service will remain open.
In such trying times, knowing that George RR Martin is well and focused on Winds of Winters is a sigh of relief. Every single one of his fans wishes him well, and hope that he stays healthy and finishes those books already!
