Carnival Row season 2 started its production in September 2019 in the Czech Republic. But with Trump placing a ban on entry from European countries on March 13, 2020, the show decided to send everyone home to the US. The goal was to enter the US before the quarantine began. Looks like the ban will be imposed for a month.

Mythical creatures are escaping from their war-stricken homelands to save themselves by migrating to a neo-victorian city. The existing population of the city and the new arrivals do not get along. Soon the count of unsolved murders starts piling up. It is then that a policeman, Rycroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom), is asked to solve the murder case of a faerie showgirl of Carnival Row. The creatures fear humans and live in darkness and hopelessness. The inspector and a faery Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne) go down a dangerous and forbidden path amidst the murders. Vignette Stonemoss represents the life of the immigrants while living in fear as well as hiding her past.

Canival Row Season 2

Season 2 will have a new faery played by Jay Ali as Kaine. Erik Oleson has taken over as executive producer. The Carnival Row Season 2 release date cannot be expected before 2021.

The news was broken down by Orlando Bloom on Carnival Row’s set in Prague. With everyone gathered around him, he said:

It’s farewell from us as we go home to be quarantined. We’re coming home to the States, at least I’m coming home to the States, because we want to get in before the quarantine. Big love everybody, stay safe out there. Self quarantine. It seems really crazy, actually, this whole corona thing, but do the right thing by you and your family and stay safe. A few weeks, we’ll beat this bad boy.
