We are pressing pause on our @netflix production of RED NOTICE effective this Monday for the next two weeks. It’s my privilege to speak eye to eye with our entire crew to help give a little clarity and guidance, as the most important thing right now is for us to get everyone home to their concerned families. Gotta protect our babies, spouses, loved ones and elderly. We’ll continue to monitor and assess this situation closely to make the best decisions for our families first and then our businesses. We’re a resilient nation who ultimately, will always rise to the occasion to be accountable and work together to overcome whatever hardship lies in front of us. Our country will do its job, as the rest of the world will do theirs. Everyone please stay healthy, vigilant, safe and let’s protect one another. We’re all in this – together. Red Notice stopped production due to the growing risk of COVID-19. The U.S falls in the eighth position in the number of victims affected by the new virus, more than 5000. With 94 confirmed deaths, there are around 600 new cases for the country.
Red Notice is Johnson’s action-comedy thriller, something that he has done several times and is good at as well. The star will feature alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot as well. As the movie production stops, the release date will also get a push. The movie already experienced one push back after confirming its new release date to be November 13, 2020.
The Rock also wrote the following in his speech video:
“It’s my privilege to speak eye to eye with our entire crew to help give a little clarity and guidance, as the most important thing right now is for us to get everyone home to their concerned families.
Gotta protect our babies, spouses, loved ones and elderly.”
Red Notice will resume production after assessing the situation. Dwayne Johnson told that families will be put first and business second when it comes to resuming production.
