Ever since the lock down due to Coronavirus, parents are homeschooling their children. While some have made no rules, most of them are following a schedule. Therefore, Lin-Manuel Miranda updated his followers of his homeschooling routine.

Although he has worked in many films, Lin-Manuel Miranda is popular as a composer and lyricist

In 2008, he wrote the music and lyrics of Broadway musical, ‘In the Heights’ which has been made into the film of the same name. The film will be releasing this year in June. However, Lin-Manuel Miranda got recognition for writing the book, music, and lyrics for ‘Hamilton’, another Broadway musical. While ‘In the Heights’ won him a Tony Award, ‘Hamilton’ got him new levels of success. He won Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Grammy Awards and Tony Awards. Not only that, ‘Hamilton Mixtape’, which is an album of songs developed by and featuring Miranda himself, reached number one on Billboard 200. In 2021, Hamilton film will be coming out which is also written, composed and produced by him. He will also be playing the lead role, Alexander Hamilton.

Due to Coronavirus, many celebrities are in self-quarantine

It seems that the virus does not discriminate and has reached Hollywood. After Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju has also tested positive. However, many celebrities are taking safe measures and self-quarantining. This includes Lady Gaga, Orlando Bloom, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sophie Turner, and Miley Cyrus.

However, parents are still working hard and Lin-Manuel Miranda is one of them

While at home, he and his wife are homeschooling their kids, Sebastian and Francisco. In a tweet, he updated his followers of his routine. He wrote:

Home schooling, Day 1, morning shift: -Reading went fine -Chess went fine but the two year old tried to eat the captured pieces -French went…okay. Any further than counting to 9 & I’m in trouble

now doing math & science for the afternoon shift

In response to that, his wife, Vanessa Nadal tweeted:

We baked bread! Minimal math measuring ingredients, but lots of science learning abouthow yeast works (it eats flour and excretes gas, which makes holes), what fungi are, and compared yeast to portobello mushrooms I had in the fridge. Also documenting gas excretion over 24hrs…

It seems that this couple is going to have plenty to do in social isolation. We wish them all the best.
