Sir Michael Caine Is Also Confused About Nolan’s Tenet Movie

0 414

Who would have thought that Christopher Nolan and his team would be this much secretive? Working on his new movie ‘Tenet’, not only is its trailer ambiguous, but its cast is also confused. Sir Michael Caine revealed that he is not completely confident about the movie’s storyline. The movie is set to hit IMAX cinemas in July, but there is no clue about what the story would be other than what can make of the trailer.

Sir Michael Caine Hasn’t Heard From Tenet

Sir Caine sat down with The Hindu to talk about his career. When the interview shifted towards working with Christopher Nolan, he only had positive things to say. Caine talked about how Nolan convinced him to play the part of Alfred in his Batman movie. He admitted that he was first taken aback after hearing he would take on the role of a butler. However, Nolan told him that he saw Alfred’s character as a foster-father of Batman. After this, Caine decided to take this movie.

Sir Michael Caine jokingly told that the industry thinks that Nolan considers him to be his lucky mascot.

“All the films I have made with him have raked in over a billion dollars, so he has to have me in a film even if he has no part for me. In Dunkirk, I was only a voice-over and I got billing in the credit title.”

Turning the topic towards his upcoming movie ‘Tenet’, Sir Caine revealed that he has no idea about the movie.

“He [Nolan] is so secretive he won’t let me have the script. All I had was one day’s work and he gave me my pages. I did my part and shot only with John David. I haven’t heard anything since.”

From what we can tell, the movie is about espionage, taking place in different locations around the globe. There is a reverse-time play involved and that is pretty much it. Watch the trailer below and see what you can make of it:
