Billy Eichner Wishes He Took Cooking Lessons Instead of Singing Lessons
Due to Coronavirus, the entire world is shut down and people are staying indoors. In this time, many people are exploring new horizons and learning new skills. Meanwhile, Billy Eichner is wishing he had taken cooking lessons instead of singing lessons.
Although he began his career on stage, Billy Eichner has since established himself as an actor and singer
Initially, he hosted and wrote a stage show called ‘Creation Nation: A Live Talk Show’. After that, he appeared on many TV shows like ‘Conan’, ‘Watch What Happens: Live with Andy Cohen’, ‘The Wendy Williams Show’, ‘Last Call with Carson Daly’ and ‘Fashion Police with Joan Rivers’. Later he joined the cast of ‘Parks and Recreation’ for the sixth season. Billy Eichner has also voiced Mr. Ambrose on ‘Bob’s Burgers’.

However, he gained popularity when he hosted the show, ‘Billy on the Street’ with Billy Eichner
According to the concept of the show, Eichner goes out on the streets of New York and asks people interesting questions about pop culture. This game show had some segments called For a Dollar and Quizzed in the Face which became popular among people. After five successful seasons, the show ended in 2017. It was so popular that it was nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards twice.
In 2019, he voiced Timon in the live-action remake of The Lion King. While talking about it, he said:
Timon is such a great role that allows you to do so much. But… the bigger the project and the bigger the names that you’re working with, the more you have to ignore it. If you get to the soundstage and you’re thinking, ‘Oh my God, what a full-circle moment! Nathan Lane did it originally! Beyoncé’s in this!’ then you’re paralyzed creatively. You just have to put that out of your head in order to get the job done.
In the time of social distancing, Eichner has expressed that he lacks cooking skills
While being quarantined because of Coronavirus, Eichner is having a hard time with cooking. In a tweet, he said:
Really starting to regret asking my parents for singing lessons instead of cooking lessons.

While it is unclear as to why he posted it, it might be because he is finding it difficult to cook for himself in this difficult time. After his tweet, many people came forward and presented their suggestions. Some suggested online cooking courses, others offered to teach him.
