World Leaders aren’t safe from Coronavirus either
Yes, this time our politicians aren't safe either.
Coronavirus has swept the entire world with its fear. Things like these only happened in the movies. But as they say, “Reality is stranger than fiction”. And in this case, it can’t be more obvious. However, the politicians that we criticize all the time aren’t safe either. Many World Leaders around the globe have contracted COVID-19. In this article, we’ll be talking about some of the prominent ones!
Canada: Justin Trudeau’s wife tests positive
Despite Canada’s insane Medical care facilities, Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie Trudeau has contracted COVID-19. Now, this, of course, puts PM Trudeau himself in jeopardy. Therefore, he’ll be putting himself in self-isolation. We wish both of them a speedy recovery. But they’re not the only one on this list.
Iran: The Deputy health minister and Vice President
Things got really out of hand in Iran. It is one of the worst-hit countries in the world, with over 500 dead and 11,000 infected. Sadly, the infected also include the deputy health minister and Vice President of Iran, Iraj Harirchi and Eshaq Jahangiri. In fact, right before he was tested positive, Harirchi gave a press conference while showing symptoms. As a result, 5 other members of parliament contracted the disease too. Here’s the video:

The United States: Trump will have tests
Donald Trump is rarely ever out of the news. However, this time it seems like it might be risky for him. Trump recently came into contact with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s Press Secretary, who later tested positive. Therefore, Trump’s being tested for the virus just as a safety measure.
However, Miami Mayor Frances Suarez wasn’t so lucky. He announced on Friday that he tested positive for the virus. This happened after he attended a meeting with the same delegation from Brazil. Therefore, Mayor Suarez and everyone who came into contact with him is in self-isolation.
Brazil: Bolsonaro rumored positive
— New York Post (@nypost) March 12, 2020
Yesterday, rumors started spreading all over twitter that Bolsonaro that he tested positive for Coronavirus. In the past, he made remarks about the virus, saying:
During the past year, obviously, we have had moments of crisis. A lot of that is fantasy. And coronavirus, which is not [what] all the mainstream media makes it out to be
Soon after, however, he was tested for the virus and it turned out to be negative. But the British member of parliament Nadine Dorries wasn’t so lucky.
UK: Health Minister in quarantine
The health minister of Boris Johnson’s government, Nadine Dorries tested positive for the virus. However, Boris refused to take any test, saying he never got close enough to her. Considering how the virus spreads, that is a pretty risky move.
The Coronavirus Pandemic has really set the world back. The common man is heavily affected by it, but now so are the World Leaders. A virus really doesn’t discriminate who it infects. That’s why it’s important that we join hands in these troubled times. We need a collective solution to contain and cure this viral disease.
