Because the series finale is said to be a two-hour hail. The teaser revealed many guest appearances are in the pipeline. To name a few Chuck Norris, William Sadler, and James Marsters.

CBS pulled out the big guns for the series finale by bringing in Chuck Norris to star albeit briefly. Hawaii Five-0 is a reboot of a 1968 CBS series of the same name. The show follows a police task force as they embark on a distinguished island.

Chuck Norris’s Career in acting

Norris is most popular for his lead roles in  Walker, Texas Ranger. But he’s also bagged big film franchises like The Expendables, Missing in Action and Delta Force.

Reports by TVLine talk about his role as a guest appearance on the show:

“a retired sergeant major who is helping his mentee, Lincoln Cole (Lance Gross), hide from authorities to protect his anonymity.”

The series finale will be episode 240, just 39 less than the original series aired. Rumors suggested that O’Loughlin was looking to leave the series, and CBS canceled the show rather than find a new partner for Caan’s character.

Show-runners of Hawaii Five-0 say farewell

Writer, producer Peter M. Lenkov took to social media bidding farewell to his long time success Hawaii Five-0 and said:

“Hawaii Five-0 has been such a blessing to me and all of the people who have worked on this incredible show. I truly learned the meaning of ‘ohana’ as the viewers embraced us and the people of Hawaii welcomed us with the privilege to film on their shores.

I am forever indebted to the creative genius that was [original Hawaii Five-O creator] Leonard Freeman, who gave us such a beautiful story to begin with,” Lenkov continued. “And my eternal gratitude to our cast, led by our hero Alex O’Loughlin, the writers, the production team, our CBS ohana, and most importantly YOU, the fans, who allowed us to come to work with pride and made our series such a success. Mahalo.”
