The nicest man in Hollywood has fallen victim to the vicious Coronavirus that has halted entire industries. Now, ever since WHO has officially called it a global pandemic, everyone is highly anxious about the virus that is only getting worse by the day. Even big celebrities such as Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson are not immune to the COVID-19 strain, it seems.

Tom Hanks shares news himself

The actor was in Australia for the shooting of his new Elvis Presley movie along with wife Rita Wilson. The Forrest Gump actor shared that he and Rita were feeling a bit exhausted and some mild body aches. Both were experiencing some chills and fevers as well:

We felt a bit tired like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers, too.

In order to be responsible in this worrying time, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson took the step to get tested for CoronaVirus. Unfortunately, they both tested positive for it:

To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.

Moreover, the actor shared that the two are undergoing testing and observation. As is expected with the Coronavirus, both are going to isolate themselves for the safety of the public at large.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson will also keep the world updated on the health of himself and Rita Wilson:

“Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We’ll keep the world posted and updated.”

His calm composure is something that is commendable. Especially when the whole world is freaking out that their favorite celebrity has the Coronavirus. There’s still no vaccine as of yet and it’s probably going to take some time.

Tom Hanks becomes the poster boy for Coronavirus

Known for his legendary movies such as ‘Saving Private Ryan’, ‘Cast Away’, ‘Sleepless in Seatle’, ‘The Green Mile’ and ‘The Terminal’, everyone loves Tom Hanks. It is not just for his extraordinary acting skills but also for his insanely sweet personality. No one would ever say a bad thing about him or his wife Rita Wilson. They’re the most adored couple in Hollywood.

It is truly sad to see Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson get the Coronavirus, but since they have gone public with their diagnosis, they may have become the face of the global health issue. The most popular Hollywood couple sharing news about Coronavirus will definitely help raise awareness about the issue.

Coronavirus will probably halt the production of Tom Hanks’ Elvis Presley movie

Multiple movies’ productions and premieres such as ‘Mission Impossible VII’ and ‘No Time to Die’ have already been halted. The upcoming Tom Hanks movie was set to begin shooting this Monday but it may seem like that would be on halt. There are now more than 100 confirmed Coronavirus cases in Australia. Warner Bros. is the production company behind this movie and has shared this in regards to the pandemic:

“We have been made aware that a company member from our Elvis feature film, which is currently in pre-production in The Gold Coast, Australia, has tested positive for COVID-19. We are working closely with the appropriate Australian health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the individual. The health and safety of our company members is always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world. The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 is currently receiving treatment.”

This comes after they completely halted their production for the teen show, Riverdale. Hopefully, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson and everyone else who has the Coronavirus gets a speedy recovery.
