Tina Fey, actress, director, and producer is now venturing into another dimension with “Mulligan”. And with this series, she is creating content for the streaming giant, Netflix. Mulligan is a journey embarked by both Miss Fey and Robert Carlock. They have also worked together before on “30 Rock” and “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”. And together they will be executive producers for the new animated comedy series.
The series pivots around the time after humans are attacked by aliens and what remains thereof. The remaining humans are left behind and alive feeling opportunistic. Because of which, they agree to do the right thing with this second chance of life. But troubles fall because they have a lack of resources to do anything. The synopsis of the show reads:
After an alien attack destroys the earth, what remains of humanity has the chance to start society over from scratch. But can we get it right this time?
Netflix has already ordered twenty episodes of the animated series. But, they have not yet announced a premiere date.
Along with Universal and Little Strangers, Bevel Gears and 3 Arts Entertainment will produce the series. Bento Box Entertainment is being charged with creating the series’ animation.
Tina fey has been quite busy since 2020 kicked off. Currently, she’s also working on turning her Broadway’s Mean Girls into a movie. In January she said:
“very excited to bring ‘Mean Girls’ back to the big screen.”
She is also returning to hosting with Golden Globes 2021, with friend Amy Poehler. And in doing so, she will be replacing Ricky Gervais.
