Hilary Duff Shares Her Busy Mum Makeup Routine
Hilary Duff isn’t just Lizzie McGuire ‘the relatable teenage role model’ anymore. Now she is a mother, a working woman, and has a busy schedule. Yet we look up to her in many aspects especially when it comes to makeup or fashion. Good for us we now have an entire busy mum makeup routine shared by Hilary to Vogue. And she has spilt some time-saving hacks we all could use.
Hilary Duff shares busy mom makeup routine
Hilary Duff filmed this new video for Vogue, from her Los Angeles home. She started off by saying she does not have much time for makeup daily.
“I’m a busy mom. I don’t have a ton of time to do my makeup but this version today is like on a day when I have my kids, but also have a couple of meetings. I wanna look like I’ve put some effort in.
So she starts off by toning using Ole Henriksen a dark spot toner. Hilary shares that when her babies were born, she started getting melasma especially around her forehead. Every day she uses this toner for the dark spot.
She then shares what she uses when it gets super dry in California. She uses Glycelene is ultra-hydrating, with oils and lavender in it. This basically works as a serum and Hilary thinks if your skin can take it, then it’s a “treat”.
She then adds another cucumber scented cream on top which is by Glycelene.
Then she dabs a REN eye cream.
A natural makeup look
Perricone MD is what she uses as a tint rather than a foundation. Hilary Duff really believes your skin does not a heavy coating and has to breathe. Patting it on her face with a BeautyBlender, she blends it out with a very sheer finish.
The next product has been one of Hilary’s favorites for ten years. It’s a Chanel cream bronzer. She uses it to add definition to cheekbones, giving her face a natural contour. Then she shared a tip she got when she was very young; you want to create a W across your face using the sponge.
She applies a cool-brown toned cream eyeshadow on the lids with a crease, and also to the lashline. And then we come to the Stila eye glitters. She goes for a wet-looking shimmer in the centre of the lids.
For the brows, she uses Ka-Boom! by Benefit Cosmetics to fill them in naturally. And if she’s running on very little time, she reaches out for the Boy Brow by Glossier.
And then Hilary applies the Grandelash mascara for her fluttery long lashes. For a more awake look, she suggests applying more product in the centre.
Finally, for the lips, Hilary shares that she has started over-lining them a little. The Laura Mercier pencil in Chestnut is great for that. And then she tops it off with YSL lip gloss.
We’re not exaggerating when we say this is one of the best no-makeup makeup looks we’ve ever seen. It’s effortless and natural. And Hilary Duff looks like the doll she is.
