Coachella Gets Affected By CoronaVirus
People from all around the world eagerly wait for the Coachella event to happen every year in April. They look forward to the festival as it allows to create a community of people that love Coachella. They talk about the lineup and the potentials and the rumors like which celebrity is going to show up with new arm candy.
So the main event is only a month away. Andddd BAAANNNGGGG !! The news starts circulating that the show organizers are thinking about delaying the festival until October.
Original Schedule Of The Coachella Event:
The festival is scheduled to take place on back-to-back weekends-starting from April 10th-12th, followed by April 17th– 19th at Indio’s Empire Polo Club.
Travis Scott, Frank Ocean, and Rage Against The Machine are going to headline the event. The Coachella Event and Stagecoach (sister event of Coachella) bring in profits reaching to billion dollars each year.
Coachella And Stagecoach Festivals Probably Moving To October
A few different sources are telling that the Stagecoach Festival (one of the biggest events of country music), and both the weekends of the Coachella Festival, are being delayed because of the ongoing wave of CoronaVirus.
A subsidiary of AEG Presents, Goldenvoice, which organizes the Coachella event, is trying to inform the agents and figuring who is available on the back to back weekends in October(in case of any delay).
Though Organizers have yet to release a statement.
A source explained that the SXSW’s cancelation, because of the outbreak of CoronaVirus, has really affected many other events.
Another source said the Coachella confirmed the delay of the event with their agency Last night. But they further have to explain the delay with proper information.
A few sources are denying rumors of the event’s delay and cancelation.
CoronaVirus is badly affecting California, one of the states in the U.S. There are more than 100 confirmed cases in the country. If there are any chances of the delay, then Coachella is going to be the third massive event affected by the outbreak of coronavirus. This is followed by the Ultra Festival in Miami and South By Southwest. Besides, Nashville’s Tin Pan South Songwriters festival was also postponed. CoronaVirus has taken a big hit on the Live Music Concerts as well.
So if the Coachella actually happens in October, are the organizers still going to have Coachella 2021 in April?
That means the people are going to have two Coachellas, back-to-back like six months apart.
Is that even possible? If they repeat the same headliners in both the events, then the show is going to be really boring.
Anyways, we are not really sad about the cancellation of Coachella. As many lives are at stake because of COVID-19. People are dying all around the world. So we don’t even know if the CoronaVrius is going to stop before October. Things can get even worse as October is the “Flu Season”.
So we can just hope that the summer heat can make CoronaVirus disappear.
