Aerosmith Heads to Las Vegas
Popular rock band- Aerosmith is ready to head to Las Vegas. But they won’t be launching their residency in Las Vegas until next year. The band itself announced this news of its Las Vegas residency to the public.
Aerosmith’s frontman, Steven Tyler made the news official this Wednesday. He announced that the group will kick off as a Las Vegas residency on 6th April, 2019. “Aerosmith: Deuces are Wild” would launch at the Park Theater- the same location that Lady Gaga will launch her residency in December this year. The band has already announced its show for April, June and July. The total number of already disclosed shows is 18 but the tickets do not go on sale till 24th August. Ticket prices for these Aerosmith shows will range from $75 to $750.
While making the announcement, Tyler said that they wanted to bring a show in there. And that they can’t do that when on the roads while performing for a regular tour. Regarding this Las Vegas residency, Steven Tyler opened up on The Today Show.
In 1970, Aerosmith was formed in Boston. Previously, the Grammy-winning band signed with Columbia Records in 1972. But in 1973, Aerosmith released its self-titled debut. And it included favorite hits like I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing, Janie’s Got a Gun and Walk This Way. With songs like Dream On and Sweet Emotion, Aerosmith became one of the best-selling American rock bands of all times. Apparently, the band sells more than 150 million records worldwide.
This award-winning group was admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2001. But Steven Tyler and Joe Perry did not make it to Songwriters Hall of Fame until 2013. For a couple of years, the band enjoyed peak popularity. But back in 2017, Aerosmith had to cancel out 4 shows from its Aero-Vederci, Baby Tour. It was due to Steven Tyler’s unexpected medical issues. And it required him to get complete rest in order to recover fully. To great relief, he did. And Aerosmith has been rocking the world since.
