Norman Reedus and Death Stranding Outperforms in BAFTA

The BAFTA Awards of this year is going to be slightly different. We get four new categories that include awards for animations, technical achievements and lead and supporting roles. And so, Norman Reedus, who was a fictional character Sam from Death Stranding has also gotten a nomination. Next to him is Martti Suosalo who played the role of Ahti the Janitor in Control.

Talking about Reedus’ Death Stranding, the game is a Kojima Developers creation with Hideo Kojima himself working on directions. With Sony Interactive Entertainment partnering along as well. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic era where the world is overtaken by deadly rain that speeds up ageing os skin cells. The isolated cities communicate by employing people who deliver supplies from one city to another. These messengers (or porters), unfortunately, do not only have to look out for the timefall (the rain), but it is also the least of their concern.

The BTs or Beached Things roam the world in invisibility, creatures that only special devices found on porters can detect. These porters can then manoeuvre their path to avoid detection.

Death Stranding’s impressive gameplay and storyline has not only earned it a reward but also it’s lead actor Norman Reedus. The game is available in the category of Animations, Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Debut Game, Game Beyond Entertainment and Music. Reedus got the nomination for Performer in a Leading Role while Lea Seydoux has a nomination in the Supporting Role character for playing Fragile.
