Tom Hanks Returns To The Waters In Greyhound

Tom Hanks, the man we grew up watching in the films that have our heart – Forest Gump, Cast Away and Catch me if you can. We know him to be a genius who can act out any role given to him. Having his name in the cast is reason enough for us to watch it. Now he is coming in an action-packed movie cruising the Atlantic set in the earlier times of World War II. The movie Greyhound is a Sony Pictures film and will release on June 12, 2020. Not only did he act but he produced and wrote the film as well which is originally based on the novel “Good Shepherd” by C.S. Forester. Other stars of the movie include Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan and Elisabeth Shue. Gary Goetzman produced And Aaron Schneider directed the film.

Tom Hanks’ Greyhound Storyline

Tom Hanks is Captain Ernest Krause of a US destroyer and is leading 37 Allied ships to rain down hell upon the Nazi submarines. After he is done praying for the journey in front, he confides in the crew of the Greyhound that this is going to be his first time crossing the Atlantic ocean. What a jolt of confidence for the soldiers heading on a mission with their life in their hands right? Not only that but having the ruthless Nazis on their tail as well. While on patrol one day the Nazis ambush the good guys and the dreaded naval war begins. However, under the leadership of the Greyhound’s Captain, Tom Hanks, they manage to destroy a Nazi submarine. Faith in the Captain is restored and the soldiers rejoice.

Tom Hanks appeared in a World War movie “Saving Private Ryan” the last time in 1998. Also, this is not his first writing stunt. In 2011 he wrote and directed Larry Crowne, a romantic comedy. We have also seen him in the waters in Captain Philips, Cast Away.
