Carrie Underwood’s Family Update after Nashville Tornado
Carrie Underwood and many stars are sending their love and prayers for those who faced the deadly tornado in Nashville this week. The country singer lives with her husband and kids in Tennessee. She shared an update about her family after the deadly weather overnight. The singer came on an episode of Tonight’s show and was glad her family was doing alright back home. She explained to her husband Mike Fisher and two kids Isiah and Jacob also had to rush to their safe room yo take shelter from the tornado:
“He said he had to go upstairs at 2am and grab the boys to take them down (to) a little safe room in our house. I bet everyone was crying.”
Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Seacrest, and former Nashville star Connie Britton are among the celebrities also sending their thoughts and prayers to the city.
About the tornado:
According to The Associated Press, the tornado caused twenty-two casualties and left many wounded and homeless. It also caused the collapse of forty buildings in and around downtown Nashville. A shelter has been established at 900 Rosa L. Parks Blvd to help those affected by the tornado.
Many other big names have Nashville on their minds too. Dierks Bentley revealed that he nearly missed the tornado, tweeting,
“We ducked around this cell and landed at John Tune Airport around 11:30 last night. Glad we landed when we did. Wouldn’t have been good an hour later. It was the cell that turned into the tornado. Lot of people lost their homes. No one comes together as a city like Nashville does.”
Reese Witherspoon tweeted:
“Praying for everyone in Nashville and Middle Tennessee dealing with the aftermath of last night’s tornado. I’m just heartbroken and saying special prayers for the families who lost loved ones. Please stay safe.”
Like her many others have also tweeted messages about care and prayers for Nashville’s residents.
