For Millennials. By Millennials.
In the music industry, songwriters release their music all the time. Similarly, Julia Michaels’ music has also gained her success, popularity and helped tackle mental health. Recently, she made an announcement that she will be releasing new music soon.
At just 14 years of age, Julia Michaels started writing songs TV shows
In collaboration with songwriter, Joleen Belle, she wrote a theme song for comedy TV series, ‘Austin and Ally’. At 19, she started writing songs for big names like Demi Lovato and Fifth Harmony. Her song, ‘Miss Movin On’ became the debut single for Fifth Harmony. Similarly, Julia Michaels music and songs have been sung by Selena Gomez, Justin Beiber, Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran, Gwen Stefani, and Keith Urban. Not only that, she won a Grammy Award for her collaboration with Lady Gaga for ‘A Star Is Born’ soundtrack.
However, with time, Julia Michaels’ music felt more personal to her and she released it herself
In 2017, her debut single, ‘Issues’, came out. While talking about this song, she said:
“It was the first time I’d written a song that sounded so much like myself that I couldn’t picture anyone else singing it.”
Many artists wanted to claim Julia Michaels’ music but she kept it for herself. This song brought her in the spotlight and that’s where she stayed. After that, Julia Michaels’ music started releasing more frequently. The same year, she released her EP, ‘Nervous System’. In 2018, she was the opening act for Niall Horan and Maroon 5 on their respective tours. Similarly, in 2019, she opened for Keith Urban.
Recently, it was announced that Julia Michaels new music will be released
In 2019, she released part 1 and 2 of her EP, Inner Monologue. While talking about both the parts, she said:
I see it as one whole album. I don’t think there’ll be a part three, but I might put out a couple more songs and really make it an album. I haven’t decided yet. But yeah, originally I was going to do all love songs [on Part One], and then all heartbreak songs [on Part Two], like a where I am versus where I was. Then I got my heart broken again, so I was just like, “F— it,” and I scrambled them all up. Now it is what it is. It’s a mixture of just love and heartbreak and, again, self-image and mental health, and all of the things that I think and feel on a daily basis.
Recently, she posted in a tweet that Julia Michaels music will be released soon. She said:
I’m working on music. I’m getting excited. I can’t wait to see you all again and I can’t wait to be back in the universe we’ve created.
This news has made her fans very excited. However, it is hard to say that whether her new music will be a third part of Inner Monologue or not.
