The High Note

Directed by Nisha Ganatra and written by Flora Greeson, the movie is about women in the entertainment industry. It’s about a young assistant Maggie Sherwood who works for older music professional Grace Davis. With her age, she is struggling to stay relevant in her career. The superstar and the assistant are then faced with a life-altering choice that could change their life and respective careers.

The movie stars Dakota Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Ice Cube,  Bill Pullman, and June Diane Raphael.

The movie is all set to release on 8 May 2020.

The backlash

While the official trailer seemed sweet, feel-good and interesting to many- others’ bashed it. The YouTube comment section under the trailer flooded with comments.

A majority of people feel that the entire movies’ plot was in the trailer. So what’s there left to watch, they asked?

Someone else turned the movie title The High Note into a pun to express his low expectations from the movie.

Many others had some fun discussing how Dakota Johnson is still Anastasia from 5o Shades Of Grey for them.

And well, some others thought it was plain boring.

However, many other people including us think that this will be a sweet watch with an enjoyable story-line that will surely make us all smile.

The High Note will be releasing soon and we will post a movie review on whether it is worth a watch or not.
