To know about the upcoming movie, you need to be in on the original story too. So the hit 90’s film was from producer Jordan Peele and director Nia DeCosta. The story revolved around an urban legend, a murdered black slave who comes to life when you say his name five times in the mirror. He then kills anyone in sight using his hook.

The original film was written by Bernand Rose. And a couple of sequels did come out but the 2020 film has the same Oscar-winning producer Jordan Peele on board.

The new version will have a fresh spin with the original concept intact. Peele and DeCosta with writer Wen Rosfeld together wrote the new script.
