Phoebe Waller-Bridge Always Wanted To Work In A James Bond Movie
Writer-actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge is finally living her dreams it seems. She talked about how she wanted to work in a James Bond movie a few months before, and later she found herself working in No Time To Die. Starring Daniel Craig, alongside Ana de Armas and Lea Seydoux and Rami Malek, this is going to be his last one before a new Bond actor joins the series.
Fleabag Writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge In No Time To Die
The star and writer of famous and GRAMMY-winning comedy-drama series Fleabag talked about her thoughts on joining 007 movies, No Time To Die. Waller-Bridge rewrote the script, probably adding sharp wit and an acerbic tone to the movie, a similar case for her BBC series. According to the all-rounder star, she was in the middle of editing her Fleabag episode when producer Barbara Broccoli called her. Here is what she told to people in The Independent:
“I was in the edit for Fleabag. It was an afternoon, and I had the call that Barbara wanted to meet me. The strangest thing is, is that I’d really… I had been sort of dreaming about the idea of it only a few months beforehand. I was like, ‘Oh, wouldn’t it be cool to be involved in a Bond film’ to sort of just put that there in the ether. And then it just came around.”
We do not yet know about Waller-Bridge’s story of Agent 007. However, the trailers suggest that Daniel Craig’s Bond comes out from retirement after five-years. He finds his “Bond family” in danger and at the request of CIA operative Felix Leiter, he will help defend the world against a new kind of villain. The villain will be using deadly technology that endangers society and the MI6.
Cart Fukunaga is directing this movie, which everyone is calling the final chapter for Daniel Craig. With Phoebe Waller-Bridge working on the screenplay, we will also get to see Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch and Ben Whishaw. The movie will release on April 10, 2020.
