Their relationship, engagement, all the tattoos they had gotten dedicated to each other, was all in the spotlight. Thus the break up was insanely public as well. And when things are that public, they can get ugly. Now, during all this, Ariana Grande’s ex-boyfriend Mac Miller tragically passed away from an accidental drug overdose.
How Mac Miller’s Death Affected Pete And Ariana’s Relationship
In the interview with Charlamagne tha God, Pete shared that when Mac Miller died, it was devastating for Ariana. And he said he had a lot of empathy for what Ariana went through and he saw that it wasn’t easy.
“I can’t imagine what that shit is like. Like that shit is just terrible. All I do know is she really loved the shit out of him, and she wasn’t like, you know, putting on a show or anything. That was f***** up,” he shared.
Pete revealed he knew the engagement was over when Mac passed away. Because they’d only been together a few months, he said he told Ariana that he understood. And he was gonna be there for her as long as he was needed.
And we know, losing a loved one is never easy. So we can understand how Ariana might’ve felt at the time as she mourned the late rapper.
