Pete Davidson is an American comedian and actor. He rose to popularity when he dated hit singer, Ariana Grande. He is also a cast member at Saturday Night Live.


Pete’s style of comedy has been identified as relatable. He bases his jokes mostly on his own real-life experiences. He includes topics such as relationships, drugs, sex and awkward high school experiences. Pete Davidson also touches upon sensitive subjects like losing his father during the September 2011 attacks. He says it empowers him to address these feelings of powerlessness that he has suffered in a way that makes it bearable for him and others. And that is why his audience relates to him.

Pete Davidson Talks About SNL

Most recently, Pete Davidson sat down with Charlamagne tha God for an interview which turned out to be pretty revealing. The interview has caused a few headlines. And one of those revelations includes some behind-the-scene truth about SNL.

Pete Davidson revealed his time on Saturday Night Live is almost over because of the way he feels on the show. He also shared that the people at SNL make fun of him and call him dumb.

“They think I’m f****** dumb — like, I’m literally painted out to be this big, dumb idiot.”

He admits he feels uneasy when he’s in the building. He doesn’t know whether he’s in on the joke or if he is the joke. When he’s not around, he knows they talk shit about him. And it just confuses him because he doesn’t know whose side they’re on. And that kind of environment has been difficult for him to work in. Pete Davidson had wanted the last year to be his last year but he stuck around for some more.

Is Pete Done With SNL?

So Pete has decided that he’s pretty much done with SNL. Saying he’s done as much as he could do over there. Pete Davidson calls it a cutthroat show that everyone wants to be a part of. SNL can make you the next big thing and that’s why nobody is coddled over there. Pete reveals he doesn’t think they care about anyone there. And that is why he’s pretty much over SNL now.
