Modern Family Cast Say Their Goodbyes
It may be hard to believe but Modern Family has been in our lives for 11 years. And it just feels like yesterday we had started watching the show. But even though the show has been a part of our lives, it has made us laugh, cry and feel the love. It’s time for us to say goodbye.
Yes, you guessed right. Modern Family is ending. And the cast has already wrapped up shooting. Sofia Vergara, Sarah Hyland, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and other members of the cast took to Instagram to post unforgettable moments from their last day of filming.
Sofia Vergara Posts Emotional Messages
Sofia Vergara posted a clip of the cast standing and waving outside the sound stage on their studio lot from their last day at the set.
“We’re out of the party!!! Adios stage 5! Modern Family❤️ 11 years!!!” she captioned it in Spanish.
Sofia also posted a video of herself and the cast, including Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland, Jesse Tyler Ferguson singing Green Day’s hit ballad ‘Time of Your Life’. The cast members could be seen getting teary-eyed as they sang the popular late 90s graduation song.
Sofia didn’t stop there. She posted more pictures that included all her costars like Ed O’Neill, Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, Ariel Winter, Ty Burrell, Reid Ewing, and Jeremy Maguire.
“I will never forget this set, these people, there were only good times,” Vergara said. “Thank you Moden Family❤️❤️ Thank you, Gloria Pritchett.”
Other Modern Family Cast Members Say Their Goodbyes
Sarah Hyland also posted a heartfelt message for her TV sister, Ariel Winter with a picture of the two from the Modern Family wrap party.
“I love these people with all my heart. 11 years together is proof you and your tv sister will start wearing the same outfit, siblings for life will be made, and you’ll forever fight over the same professor 😂,” Sarah said on Instagram. “We’ll always be Dunphys and we’ll always have each other ❤️”
Julie Bowen posted her own version of a tribute saying, “On Friday I got to close out 11 years of Modern Family with some of my favorite people (two of whom were in my belly for the very first episode!) What a glorious ride!”
The hit series, Modern Family has won five Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series over the course of 11 years.
