Beyonce’s Performance To Celebrate The Father-Daughter Duo

Beyonce invited the audience to join her in singing her song, XO as she performed with an all-white-dressed band and choir.

“In the darkest night hour, I’ll search through the crowd/Your face is all that I see; I’ll give you everything,” she belted out with the audience singing along with her.

“I’m here because I love Kobe,” Beyonce said to the crowd, “and that was one of his favorite songs. I want you to sing it so loud, they’ll hear your love.”

And then Beyonce sang Halo which was also one of Kobe Bryant’s favorites to celebrate the life and love of the father-daughter duo. After the performance, Beyonce sent out a kiss to the sky and said I love you.

However, that was not the only way Beyonce paid tribute. Clad in a yellow dress with purple tips, Beyonce represented the team Kobe played for. Besides incorporating the Lakers’ signature colors in her tribute, Beyonce also wore a pin during her time at the mic that read KB for Kobe Bryant. And on her purple nails were Gigi and Kobe’s names. The service also included performances from Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera.
