Kate Hudson talks about when Tom Cruise crashed her party
Kate Hudson and her brother, Oliver Hudson have thrown quite a lot of bashes when their parents used to be away. The siblings appeared on Thursday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote their podcast. The podcast is called “Siblings Rivalry”. On the podcast, they recall the best parties they’ve thrown while their parents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell weren’t home. And one of the parties went a bit out of control when hundreds of people started showing up.
Kate known to be a control freak began to act out and tried to get the situation under control.
What Kate Hudson said:
“I’m standing at the door making sure that people who aren’t supposed to be at the party aren’t coming in — there’s like 400 people at my parent’s house. I’m kind of freaking out a little and I see someone scaling, literally scaling, an eight-foot gate at my parents’ house. They come off and they do a back handspring and pose and I’m about to yell at this guy, and it’s Tom Cruise.”
Kate then decides to greet the famous actor who was not even invited. And decided to let him in. Ellen jokingly said:
“So that’s how he gets everywhere — he just scales things”
To which actress Kate replied laughingly:
“Yes! He is Mission: Impossible! It’s wild,”
The siblings first introduced their podcast last year when they dropped the trailer about their podcast. And in the trailer, they are laughing and joking with celebrities who might be appearing on their podcast. Celebs include Jimmy Kimmel, Chelsea Handler, Zooey Deschanel and possibly their mom Goldie Hawn.
Kate hopes that with the podcast, people can learn and appreciate differences between their siblings. She said her big hope is to bridge this gap:
“And inspire people to understand their differences with their siblings and family and always move towards more closeness and connection because that’s what we need more in this world.”
