NikkieTutorials reviews the new Jeffree Star Blood Lust palette
Starting off, Nickie shared her thoughts on the luxurious and royal purple velvet encased palette. While she totally loved how it looked, she did say that it is not the most portable palette. And since she travels a lot, this won’t be very easy to carry.
Speaking about the shades, she shared that the moment she laid eyes on the palette, the shades Wet Jewel, Pink Magic and Take The Crown immediately spoke to her. They are “foiled glitter havens” according to her.
Nikkie then started trying the shades out and prepped up for a purple look. She applied Vivid Mood in her crease. She noticed that the shade looked lighter in the pan and appeared darker on the eye. And she loved how it was blending.
She also noticed there was fall-out in the pan.
She then dived into Deviant to blend it out. For the lid she took ‘Pink Magic’ and she fell in love with it. For the inner corner- ‘Wet Jewel’ it was! And she was even more impressed by the shade. Nikkie then added Dungeon on the outer corner, smoking out the lash line. So far so good.
For the second look, NikkieTutorials started with Blood Queen on the inner, outer, and crease of her eye. She buffed it out using Royal Pain. She noticed that the colors are vibrant, intense and easily blending with each other.
Cutting her crease in the middle, she added Bleeding Heart. This is the first shade that Nikkie was slightly disappointed with. And was least pleasing.
For some more spark, she added the Xtreme Frost ‘Choking On Ice’ on the curve of the lid. And it looked amazing.
Nikkie was super impressed with all the purples. For her, Wet Jewel and Pink Magic are the stars of the palette!
NikkieTutorials then tried on all the new lipglosses and she loved them too. The final verdict from Nikkie is that the palette is not travel-friendly. But the shades are great. And “the pigmentation is insane.”
Her only problem was with one shade- Bleeding Heart.
Overall, she really thinks it is a good palette. Nikkie says if you love the color pink and purple, then it is YES for you.
