The multi-talented star, dancer, songwriter Ja’net Dubois is dead after a peaceful death in her sleep. The 74-year-old was a star in Norman Lear’s Good Times sitcom. Reports claim that the Dubois was not sick prior to her death, and so the news was quite a shock to people around her. Dubois’ career spanned over fifty years, with her early works being Loretta Allen in the soap opera Love of Life till 1972. One star, Jamie Foxx, recognizes her contributions and remembers her well as he paid tribute to her on Instagram.

Ja’net Dubois, who we once knew as Willona Woods and the one who composed The Jeffersons theme song, is dead. Unfortunately, the sudden departure of the star was a shock to many people, especially those close to her. Bern Nadette Stanis, who starred as Thelma Evans in the same show Good Times, learned the tragic news from Dubois’ daughter. She recalled her time with the singer, telling that she would make people laugh all the time, and spoke about her immense talent.

According to a police investigation, the actor-singer-songwriter died during her sleep, without any trace of harmful suspicions. Her death is now reported as a natural cause, and there is no ongoing investigation now. Ja’net Dubois would keep her birth date to herself, perhaps that is why the authorities also did not reveal her age.
Dubois, now dead, was credited in several movies including Next Friday, Basic Instinct, Movin’ On Up, and Tropic Thunder.
