Kathleen Turner’s Experience on Friends Wasn’t Welcoming
In a recent interview, legendary actress Kathleen Turner has revealed that she did not feel welcomed by the F.R.I.E.N.D.S cast. While reflecting on her guest appearance at NBC’s popular sitcom, Katherine Turner did not seem very positive. She admitted that she never warmed up to the cast members which include Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.
Kathleen Turner said that if she shares her honest experience, she did not feel welcomed by the cast. The 64- year old actress shared that her experience with the F.R.I.E.N.D.S was not very unique. And that maybe they were such a tight little group that nobody outside of them really mattered. While opening up further, Kathleen recalled one particular incident that gave her these vibes. While filming an episode, Kathleen Turner wore a difficult sequined gown with high heels and she was greatly uncomfortable in the dress. But none of the cast members offered her their seat. In fact, an older crew member finally had to arrange a chair for her.
When Kathleen Turner was asked to comment on how the cast was as actors and actresses, she refused. Turner herself has been in the acting industry for 41 years now. She also conducts masters classes for acting students. While explaining her choice to not comment, Kathleen elaborated that she did not work for them for a long period and she could not evaluate their skill without doing so. She said that she had worked with them for a short span and can judge on that only.
However, Kathleen Turner does not have anything against the cast and had some positive things to share too. She said that the bunch has great friendship bonds which she respected a lot. And that their camaraderie is surely visible on the screens.
Kathleen Turner appeared in three episodes on the show which ran for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004. The Oscar-nominated star played Helena Handbasket – Chandler Bing’s father.
