Demi Lovato’s Public Statement after Overdose
Demi Lovato has been released from the hospital after being there for almost two weeks. Previously, the singer was admitted in an emergency to a hospital for a reported drug overdose. Demi Lovato has had a long journey fighting drug abuse and addiction. Even when she did great for a long time, her recent relapse has not been easy on her. And she has suffered through it. Now that Lovato has finally been discharged from the hospital, she has shared a public statement on Instagram. She has thanked her fans for their support in an honest and heartfelt post. She has even shared her next steps in recovery. In the Instagram post, Demi Lovato has admitted that she has always been transparent about her journey of fighting addiction. She realizes that her illness won’t disappear with time. And that she needs to fight to overcome it which she still has not done yet.
The singer then thanked God for keeping her safe and alive. Demi Lovato also expressed her gratitude towards her fans for their love, support, positive thoughts and prayers. She said that all this kept her going through her negativity. Lovato also thanked her family, her team and staff at Cedars-Sanai who stood by her side all through this difficult time. And she added that without all these people, she would not be able to come till here and write this letter to the public.
Demi Lovato has also talked about the journey ahead of this time. She understands that she is on the road to recovery. And that she needs time to properly heal and come out sober. She herself looks forward to the day she can tell everyone that she is finally out on the other side.
According to reports, the singer has agreed to spend time in rehab after being discharged. Demi Lovato is determined to keep fighting. And everyone sincerely hopes that she recovers well this time.
