Elton John sad to cancel concert due to pneumonia
Elton John is forced to discontinue performing at his concert in New Zealand. He is diagnosed with ‘Walking Pneumonia’. The seventy-two-year-old singer remarked:
“I gave it all I had”.
In Auckland, New Zealand the singer stopped performing halfway between his concert. Later he shared on Twitter that,
I want to thank everyone who has come to my #EltonFarewellTour gig in Auckland tonight. I have been diagnosed with walking pneumonia earlier today. But was determined to give you the best show humanly possible. I played and sang my heart out, until my voice could sing no more.
The distinguished singer and famous “Rocketman” songster concluded his tweet by saying:
“Thank you so much for your extraordinary support and all the love you showed me during tonight’s performance. I am eternally grateful. Love, Elton xx.”
Elton John also shared a photo along with the note. The photo clearly shows he became very upset about canceling the show mid-way. His fans showed a lot of support on social media after his Tweet and send their best wishes, encouraging him and thanking him for his performance.
Fans retweeted Elton John saying
“Your perseverance tonight was incredibly admirable, your showmanship was evident in your reaction to being taken off stage & as for your talent … I would’ve spent most of the show oblivious to your illness if you hadn’t mentioned it!”
Another fan said:
“You gave an incredible performance. What’s most important right now is what’s best for you. We will always support and love you.”
About walking pneumonia:
Walking pneumonia is a layman term for medical pneumonia. It is called so because infected patients can continue with their daily routine, according to the American Lung Association. But, the patients still feel miserable. They suffer from fever, chills, headache, mild shiver and cough, the organization says.
