The Fleabag star and creator, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is returning to HBO’s new show Run. Fleabag is famous for winning several Emmy awards, including three for Waller-Bridge herself. The show was about the life of a single woman leading her life in a chaotic family. Fleabag’s incredible success not only helped her land a stunning $20 million deal with Amazon but also encouraged HBO to bring her back for their new television series.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge Starring In HBO’s Run

HBO has released the trailer of their latest show Run, which shows that Waller-Bridge is coming on as an executive producer alongside Vicky Jones. IMDB is telling that she is also going to star in the show, as a woman named Flick.

HBO’s Run will tell the story of Billy (Domhnall Gleeson) and Ruby (Merritt Wever). They are former lovers who dated in college and reconnect after 17 years. They made a pact before separating that if any of them ever needed the other, they will drop everything and just head out. The person has to send the codeword “Run”  and the other person must reply with the same, then they will head out on a road trip across the USA. Watch the trailer below to see what is coming soon:

From the looks of the trailer, it seems that the former couple will be doing a fair amount of running. Phoebe Waller-Bridge might just be working on another of her unique project storylines right here with HBO. The first glimpse of the show hints that Ruby left a whole lot behind just for Billy, who looks to be running from some form of trouble.

Fleabag’s Waller-Bridge will make an appearance as someone that the former couple meets along their journey. The show is also bringing on Rich Sommer, Tama Podemski and Archie Panjabi. Run is set for release on HBO on April 12, 2020.
