Superhero Gal Gadot has some really high hopes for her DC Movies character Wonder Woman. Looking at how her previous movies have been set in the past, she wants a different timeline in the next one. If there is a sequel to Wonder Woman 1984, the lead of the storyline has some requests for the future director. She raised this opinion when she, Pedro Pascal, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, and director Patty Jenkins sat together for Entertainment Weekly.

Gal Gadot Talks About Her Wonder Woman Character

The major cast of the show, including the showrunner Jenkins, sat down to talk about the movie. It was there when Gadot mentioned that she would like it if the sequel would be in “present” or “maybe future”. Come to think about it, we understand why Gadot feels this way. Most of the superhero movies right now are all set in the present. The only time Wonder Woman appeared in a future timeline was during the Justice League. Honestly, we all know how that movie turned out to be. With the Amazonian superhero getting her own recognition through successful marketing and campaigns, it is perhaps better that we also get to see what she is up to in the present (or future).

According to HeroicHollywood, Jenkins is already planning for a sequel to Wonder Woman. We do not know for sure if this will be a sequel to the upcoming WW 1984. Gal Gadot also clarified that this coming movie is also not a sequel exactly since the storyline will be a little different. However, the complete plot of the movie is still a secret. What we do know is that Cheetah (Wiig) and businessman Maxwell Lord (Pascal) is going to be a couple of adversary for the superhero.

Wonder Woman 1984 is coming to cinemas on June 4, 1984.
