Liza Koshy Photoshoot with Pol Kurucz
Your little brown girl is at it. Liza Koshy is being her usual lovely self. After her recent shoot with Teen Vogue and America Ferrera, she is still up in front of the cameras. Although we do miss the camera shots that went straight into our ‘Wednesdayzzz with Lizzza’, this is still all right. The former girlfriend of David Dobrik has earned herself places. Last week, she shot some pretty ‘cool’ shots with photographer Pol Kurucz.
Okay, this video is kind of confusing tho.
She is kicking a frozen army man or what? The video has some extreme digitization done to it.
So, what could this shoot mean? I mean, there’s no picture of Liza posted on the Instagram account of Pol Kurucz as of yet.
Pol Kurucz’s Works and What could be Liza Koshy’s part in it
Pol Kurucz is a stage director who turned to photography in 2015. He was born in Hungary, Budapest and brought up in France, Paris. He has 2 projects displayed on PHROOM. The first, Kolor Collective and the second, The Zones.
The Zones project seems more relevant to what Liza Koshy is doing in his shoot. The project was launched in 2015. Since it’s origin in the heart of Rio De Janeiro, the project has expanded to depict a lot more than just the Brazilian Drag scene. Here’s the crux of this project.
ZONES is inspired by actual social issues, Brazil’s underground drag scene, local fashion designers and artists. Featuring models, celebrities and actors have also heavily influenced the conception of characters and scenes. Mixed with Pol’s theatrical aesthetics, the consistent use of provocation and contrast, the result is a consciously disharmonious samba of glamour and trash. Central to the collective’s principles is questioning normality and exposing the dangers of forced conformity.
Pretty cool thing Kurucz has got going on here. And Liza being Liza, she’s probably being a pun-tastic model.
