Honoured to be included in the @time 100 next list amongst so many other talented and inspirational people. Felt even cooler being nominated by the wonderful @jimmyfallon who not only gave me my late night debut but has been supportive ever since. #LateWithLilly is truly dependent on the support of my mentors and peers and I’m forever grateful to those who have taken a chance on me and bet on this show. Y’all are going on my list for real ones of 2019. I SEE YOU ❤️
Lilly Singh started off her YouTube channel in 2010 and by 2017, she was ranked tenth on the Forbes list of the world’s highest-paid YouTube stars, earning a reported $10.5 million. She is not only a comedian but an actress, author, influencer, and more recently, started her career as a talk show host. She is also the first queer woman of color to reach such a platform.
Lilly Singh And Alcohol
Now, let’s be honest. We all live for Lilly’s humor and the way she can be oh-so-relatable. It’s especially so much more fun when we have alcohol stories from a brown person. And Lilly did not disappoint.
The past week, while doing an intro for her show, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, Lilly talked about drinking. And boy, did she spill some tea.
We found out Lilly loves shots because of their functionality. You can drink and dance at the same time. We’ll keep that in mind the next time we have a night out with her. She also does not go for the lies rappers stew about Hennesey etc. She prefers her drinks sweet and fruity that makes the bartender assume she got in with a fake ID.
Lilly’s Most Embarrassing Drunk Story
Lilly revealed one time she threw a party and invited all her friends. Surprisingly enough, none of her best friends showed up. Of course, Lilly was salty, texting them that their friendship was over. And “K”. Don’t forget the “K”. And then she blacked out.
When Lilly woke up the next morning, she saw all these photos on her phone. Of her besties. All at the party last night. Yikes!
Lilly then proceeded to text them emojis to make up for it. But well, what can we say? That’s not the worst that can happen.
