Vin Diesel Thinks That Fast & Furious 10 Should Be In Two Parts

0 379

Fast and Furious 9 is not even out yet and already we are talking about its sequel. Vin Diesel would love it because he’s the one doing all the talking in the first place. The actor-producer wants Fast & Furious 10 to be split into two parts just like any other great movie franchises. Remember, F9 is the second movie of the final trilogy of the saga. Perhaps after this, if we are to get F11, it will feature some totally new stars and characters.

Vin Diesel Started Planning For Fast 10 Before Fast 9

Vin Diesel talked about Fast & Furious 10 with Total Films. He admitted that he started planning about the sequel even before he and the rest of the cast started filming F9.

“The universe is so robust and so rich with talent and rich with story that, on one level, it’s totally feasible to have spinoffs, and I think that’s something that is inevitable. Universal deserves it because of how much they’ve invested in this little saga, and it’d be good to give back to Universal. And for the fans, should Fast 10 parts one and two be the conclusion, it would be nice for this world to continue for generations to come.”

Fast & Furious 9 is coming out in May 2020. The trailer released only recently and it is exactly how you will imagine: typical. Fast cars, some vintage muscle, driving off from crazy heights and landing safely, explosions and of course, a star-studded antagonist. This time, we will see Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto take on John Cena‘s Jacob Toretto who is Dom’s brother.

If we just take a break and think about what Diesel said, do we really think that Fast & Furious franchise should have a two-part ending? Should it follow what Harry Potter started and Marvel’s Avengers perfected? The F&F franchise is basically only a work of wild ideas, little storytelling and overflowing action. However, this might be really beneficial for the filmmakers considering its financial benefits. The two-part series can churn up some good amount of revenue because let’s face it: story or not, F&F does a good business most times it comes out.
