We are almost two months into 2020, and things have happened which we all thought impossible. For instance, the rumors of World War III and Matthew Perry making an Instagram account? Wait, what? Yes, it finally happened.

Matthew Perry’s Instagram Welcome Party

Lisa Kudrow was the first to join the gram in 2014, followed by Matt Leblanc in 2016. Both Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston joined in 2019. However, Matthew Perry was somewhere hibernating, as that is the only explanation for his coming so late to the party. As Jennifer Aniston’s welcome post on Instagram clearly puts it:

I’m shocked Matty is the last to join Instagram, considering he was a uh… umm….oh crap 🤦🏼‍♀️ Oh! A computer processing TRANSPONSTER.

Courtney Cox laughed under this post. However, it was Lisa Kudrow, who announced to the world in a very Phoebe like-way that Matty is on Instagram now.

Finally!!! Yay!! Can’t believe my eyes MY EYES Welcome to Instagram @mattperry4 #friends4life.

To which Courteney added:

Yes Matty!!

welcome post

And the fandom of Friends bustled to his account to follow the legendary actor. In just one day, his following reached 1.8 million. At this time, his first post is the famous Chandler Bing dance. As of this moment, his following stands at 4.4 million.

Even Instagram is happy to see him.

Something’s cooking!

Fans have been getting suspicious of the frequent hangouts of the Friends cast since the 25th anniversary of the show. Let me walk you through the timeline. Jennifer Aniston’s first post on Instagram was a reunion of the cast, which almost broke the internet with 16 million likes. Then on her best friend – Ellen DeGeneres’ – show, the actress said:

We’d love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is, so we’re just trying – we’re really working on something.

Obviously this was the biggest bomb on a possible reunion. Also, the entire cast is ready in case any opportunity presents itself. Finally, Matthew Perry’s tweet dropped, which caused a frenzy among the fans.

Two days later it was reported that HBO Max will air an hourlong unscripted special. Well if it’s really gonna happen, I can’t wait.
