Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill Used Tweets Feud As Publicity Stunt?

0 472

After an almost-completely peaceful 2019, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill were at each other’s neck in a retail store. TMZ shared the video of them shouting at each other. Nicki’s husband Kenneth Petty was there as well and he was not silent as well. A few days later, Nicki and Meek started a Twitter feud. They were not friendly at all. Throwing shade at each other’s family members was the worst thing both of them could have ever done. However, when everyone was feeling the fight has settled down, for now, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill dropped new songs. Were the tweets a publicity stunt?

Nicki Minaj – Yikes

Okay, so Nicki Minaj dropped the audio of her latest track titled Yikes. Yes…..Yikes!And as expected, there is shade on her ex Meek Mill.

you a clown, you do it for likes.

Remember seeing this phrase somewhere? It was in the Instagram stories Nicki posted a couple of days ago, continuing the Tweet feud.

Nicki Minaj

It is said that the release of the song Yikes was delayed by 3 hours. Because Nicki Minaj decided to add some lyrics for Meek Mill, following the 2 public feuds they had recently.

Yikes was scheduled to come out on February 7. Here’s a teaser Nicki posted.

The song is #1 already in 19 countries within a day of release. Nicki is the queen.

Meek Mill – Believe

Meek Mills’s song Believe came out 3 hours before Nicki Minaj dropped Yikes. If she really delayed the release to add lyrics, then it means the original release time must have been closer to Believe’s release.

Meek released both the audio and video versions on his YouTube channel. The official video of Believe has 707k+ views by now, with 67k likes and 1.2k dislikes. Meanwhile, Nicki’s Yikes has 589k+ views, 116k likes, and 3.4k dislikes. And yes, she has more subscribers.

The song Believe features none other than the best collab artist out there: Justin Timberlake.

You know I still believe, still believe in you and me
‘Cause every night I go to sleep, go to sleep
I can see it like a movie in my dreams
Put my face in the dirt on the ground
Still, I raise up to take back the crown, yes
You can break my body
But you can’t lock the soul of a man down

The song is really inspirational, so is the video. You receive more than you imagine when it comes to this beautiful collab between Meek Mill & Justin Timberlake. And, while every verse can serve as a message to the world, these particular lyrics seem like Meek is talking about Nicki Minaj.

Sit back like a king, when they move, make your mark
And never ever let your competition take your heart (Take your heart)
Say I believe in myself
When everybody stop believin’, never leave on yourself
They had my back against the wall, I had to lean on myself
Almost made me put my dreams on the shelf

Well, do check out Nicki Minaj’s Yikes and Meek Mill-Justin Timberlake’s Believe. While some people believe this might be a publicity stunt, no picking fights here. Both songs are awesome.
