Marvel Studios just released a 30-second Super Bowl TV spot and it is JAM-PACKED with new shots and clips from the long-awaited Disney+ shows: Loki, WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Disney announced last year that it would be starting its own live streaming service aka Disney+. Marvel has ended TV show deals with Netflix and bringing beloved shows like Daredevil to an untimely end. New MCU shows will consequently launch on Disney+ now. With Mandalorian already up and running, let’s see what other original shows Disney has in store for us.

The fan-favorite Loki is back and by the looks of it, he’s in prison. Not that we expect anything less from the God of Mischief himself. Disney teased Loki the least and fans all over are anticipating whether Marvel will be able to pull this off. Loki is, without doubt, the most loved MCU villain and his escape from New York with the Tesseract was probably the biggest plot twist of Avengers: Endgame.

So let’s decipher what is actually happening in a glimpse of Loki? We can see Tom Hiddleston handcuffed and in a prison jumpsuit stamped with “TVA”. It has been mentioned in the MCU for the first time. TVA actually stands for Time Variance Authority. In the comics, the Time Variance Authority is responsible for keeping the time continuum intact, furthermore eliminating any hazardous timelines present. Loki’s escape from NY created an alternate timeline in which Thor and Loki never returned to Asgard after the battle of New York. All events of this show are set in an alternate timeline and are irrelevant to the actual MCU timeline.

Marvel Studios had a lot to tease about WandaVision. With Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness releasing later this year, WandaVision will be most impactful to the MCU storyline. As the storyline is unclear, we can guess that Scarlet Witch has created a utopian reality in which both of them live a normal couples’ life in the suburbs. The events of Infinity War proved to be quite traumatic for Scarlet Witch, not only she had to kill Vision herself, but she also watches Thanos reverse time only to kill him again.

We can also see two cribs in the clip, foreshadowing that we will also see Speed and Wiccan. They are Vision and Scarlet’s twin children in the comics. It should be entertaining to see how  Marvel incorporates different characters in this reality. Moreover, Randall Park and Kat Dennings will reprise their roles. Fans are waiting to see whether Doctor Strange and WandaVision will interlink with each other. The Disney+ show shares the same timeline as the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier:

All eyes are going to be on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier which will debut this August. Starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, the show will pick up right where Endgame left it off. After an old Steve Rogers hands over the mantle of Captain America to Sam Wilson, the show will most probably feature him and Bucky Barnes fighting threats and figuring out a world without the beloved Captain America.

The Falcon

Helmut Zemo reprises his role from the Civil War. And John Walker, also known as U.S. Agent, will be introduced. He is a militaristic successor of sorts to Captain America. It’ll be interesting to see if the show deals with issues of racism and mental health issues. As in, the United States now has a black Captain America, and Bucky will have to overcome his H.Y.D.R.A. brainwashing.
