Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 | Everything You Need To Know

0 371

Day after day, the premiere of Disney’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7 draws near to us. Releasing this February, this final season will most likely be the real end of Skywalker saga. In fact, we might (might not, even) get to see Anakin embracing the Darkside. Season 6 came out back in February 2014, making this coming season a return after 6 years. There is not much time left until the release, but we can surely talk about the main talking points. So, here they are!

The Clone Troopers

One thing to note down and even memorize is how important the role of clone troopers is going to be. The Clone Wars season 7 will take place just before, or even during the start of the event of Revenge of the Sith. We already hear Captain Rex talking to Ahsoka Tano that the clones have a mixed feeling about this war. There are already two troopers who died because of the Order 66, Arc trooper CT-27-5555 “Fives” and his friend Tup. Fives even figured everything out, almost ending the Clone Wars with seconds away from killing Darth Sidious. Captain Rex already suspects something suspicious.

In the new trailer, we can also see Ahsoka Tano guarding dazed Rex with her lightsabers out. This possibly hints towards Order 66.

What Is The Timeline For The Clone Wars Season 7?

As mentioned earlier, the final season is either going to take place just before the Revenge of the Sith, or during it. We can confirm that Season 5 took place a year before Star Wars Episode III whereas, season 6 is mostly just bonus episodes. However, this does not mean that season 5 is not important to watch. I mean, there is this one arc where Yoda finds out about the dark truth about Clone Wars, Darth Sidious and his great plan.

What Will Be The Storyline of Season 7?

Dave Filoni wanted to add closures of several different arcs in the coming seasons of The Clone Wars. We already have to know about Ahsoka’s life in the underworld levels of Coruscant. Then, Star Wars have revealed that The Clone Wars Season 7 premiere episode “Bad Batch” will be on Rex, Cody, and Clone Force 99. However, we are most eager to watch the Siege of Mandalore, which is probably the last war of the clone wars before Order 66 is given out. In fact, this is the place where we will find Ahsoka Tano and Darth Maul as well. This is the point where Rex and Ahsoka will make a run for their lives and go underground till Star Wars: Rebels.

Son of Dathomir

Before you guys go on a watch season 7 of The Clone Wars, make sure that you have also read the canon comic series Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir. The story continues from the point where Darth Sidious kills Savage Opress and captures his former disciple, Darth Maul. The once-forgotten disciple escapes the clutches of his former master to set out on a mini-war between his gang of thugs and the Sith. The story will also explain exactly why Maul is shown in the new trailer in the first place.

The Disney show will air on Disney+ on February 21.
