Zendaya Set to Appear on New Show Euphoria
HBO is introducing another series Euphoria and Zendaya is starring in it. Most of us have seen Zendaya on television as we grew up, so naturally, excitement levels run high. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Zendaya, she was Rocky in Disney’s Shake It Up. But television is not the only place where Zendaya has fame. She has made appearances on the big screen and fans have loved it. Most popular of her films would include The Greatest Showman and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Euphoria
Zendaya’s new series Euphoria still does not have a release date. But by the looks of it, the show will be pretty exciting. A lot of details have slipped out of HBO and the cast so speculation is at its peak. Euphoria will be based on a total of 10 episodes. Sam Levison will script the series which revolves around a group of high school teenagers as they navigate around drugs, sex, love, identity, trauma, and friendships. And that means that this series is going to cover similar concepts like that found in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. The concept of Euphoria is not new. Rather it comes from an Israeli series that premiered with the same name back in 2012.
Drake has joined the series as the producer along with the creators of the original Israeli version, Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin. Drake’s presence in Euphoria has just added to the hype about the upcoming show. Zendaya will be playing the real character Rue in this series. Rue- a 19-year old girl who is addicted to drugs and lying. Apart from Zendaya, Storm Reid, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Brian Bradley, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Hunter Schafer, and Sydney Sweeney will also be joining the cast. Augustine Frizzell – the director for Euphoria shared an Instagram picture which suggests that things are already happening.
The news of Zendaya starring in the series is official. She herself shared a small teaser on her Twitter.

Fans are reacting in all possible ways. While some are concerned that people will put Zendaya in the ‘Girl gone bad’ category, others are just obsessing over Drake’s involvement.
