The Best and Worst of Bruce Willis’ Roast
Bruce Willis gathered his family, friends and costars for his latest Comedy Central Roast on Sunday. The TV special was attended by A-listers like Edward Norton, Dennis Rodman. And even Bruce Willis’ ex-wife Demi Moore.
Demi Moore was not on the list for the guests. But when she made her surprise appearance, Bruce Willis got visibly emotional. Needless to say, the moment was gone in a few seconds as his ex-wife made some jabs at him. She even suggested that one of their daughters wasn’t really his. Well, that was not a confession but rather a joke. Demi Moore claimed that two of her daughters are pretty well-adjusted because they are half Bruce Willis. And that’s definitely not a compliment because they don’t have two but three daughters together!
Edward Norton also recalled a great story with Bruce Willis and turned into the perfect joke for the evening. He shared how once he received a letter from Bruce who had requested that both of them work together on a project and then Norton decided to get Bruce Willis on board with his next project. Willis did not hesitate to join and will star in Norton’s upcoming film Motherless Brooklyn. To conclude his experience, and make the joke he was aiming for, Edward Norton shared that,
I wouldn’t have gotten it made without you, and I’m really, deeply grateful for that. I love you, or maybe I’m a very good actor and I’m just acting when I say that. You wouldn’t know the difference, and that’s the reason I love you.
To win over the night, Dennis Rodman arrived at the podium. He compared Willis’ acting career to that of the Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Rodman commented that Bruce Willis kept making f***ing bombs like Kim Jong-Un. But unlike Willis, Kim is smart enough to not release them. Next came, Martha Stewart who took shots at almost everyone including the panel. What made her a super-hit that night was her joke on Dennis Rodman. She exclaimed,
If you had told me back in the ‘90s that Dennis Rodman would be negotiating a nuclear arms agreement in 2018, I would have said, ‘Dennis Rodman is alive in 2018?
At the end of the show, Bruce Willis declared why he had actually done this roast. He said the only reason because he wanted to settle something once and for all. The actor then claimed that ‘Die Hard’ was not a Christmas movie. Since the movie came out at Christmastime, people have considered a Christmas flick for years now!
