The Peaky Blinders keep on rolling as this time is Cillian Murphy who wins the gold for the show. The BBC show’s lead cast wins gold for Best Drama Performance at National Television Awards (NTA) 2020. Murphy was competing against a number of top celebrities whose shows are doing equally well in terms of rating and reviews. The competition was between him and Killing Eve’s Jodi Comer, Gentleman Jack’s Suranne Jones, Luther’s Idris Elba, and Casualty’s Michael Stevenson.

Cillian Murphy Wins Best Drama Performance

Cillian Murphy shared a lovely message to his fans who helped him secure a win for the Best Drama at the NTA 2020. The awards work by public voting, so it was up to his fans to make sure that he wins. Although the Peaky Blinder’s Thomas Shelby could not make it to the awards, he did record a message for the fans. In the message, he dedicated his win to the audience of the show and the fans who voted for him. Peaky Blinder’s Twitter account posted the video and you can watch it below:

He even shows a glimpse of what we might get some more of that “by order of the Peaky Blinders” in season 6. This is not the only win for the BBC show because even the show itself won an award. Peaky Blinders also won the Best Drama show as well.

This is perhaps one of the greatest news we, the Peaky Blinders fans, have got since the start of 2020. Previously, director Anthony Byrne posted a picture os the script for the next season’s episode 1. The episode is called Black Day and will continue from the point where Thomas Shelby leads a failed assassination attempt. We have yet to see who would dare cross the path of the Shelby family.

Cillian Murphy will return as Shelby in Peaky Blinders in 2021 (most definitely)!
