The Stranger Things star, Dacre Montgomery is an Australian actor who plays the role of Billy Hargrove. He is really concerned about the situation in Australia. After all, It is a tough time for Australians. The Wildfires have damaged acres and acres worth of forests and countless animals are now ashes. It is so devastating to see the loss. Just a few weeks ago, Dacre pleaded his fans to donate to help the Australian Fires. The fires seem to be very inconsistent as they are always starting one place or another. Hence, he has joined hands with Red Cress Society in Australia to further his cause.

Dacre Montgomery on helping the affected.

In Dacre’s caption to his Instagram post, he explained the Red Cross’ mission;

Their purpose is to protect life and provide assistance to those in need, without discrimination. In a time of great suffering, I believe we can achieve a lot together to bring help to those who need it the most.
Australia desperately needs your help.

He is very sentimental about the cause and it is not because this is his homeland. According to him, it is a matter of humanity and protecting life on the planet. To him, this is a time of great disaster and it doesn’t need to be worsened by political conflicts that lead to further disasters. On January 8th, he posted a tweet on his twitter that said;

I find it maddening. The state of affairs in the world. Both politically and environmentally. We should be careful not to light another flame when so many already need to be put out. #AustraliaisBurning #IranvsUSA
Dacre Montgomery has dedicated his twitter account to creating awareness and constantly updating his followers about the situation in Australia. It is a matter of life and death, literally.
