Paris Hilton is probably ready to let down her curtains for the world to see what her life really is. She talked about her latest YouTube Originals documentary, “This Is Paris”, this past Saturday at the TV Critics Association winter press tour. According to her, she is going to shed the character of celebrity Paris Hilton to reveal a totally new, unseen side of her.

During the interview at the tour, Paris Hilton started by talking about her previous show The Simple Life. Next, she talked about her documentary “This Is Paris”. She revealed that only she will discuss her personal life there, but also talk about an untold past trauma.

“During this film, I have discovered so much about myself that I did not even know. It was almost like a therapeutic experience. My old persona, that was who I was before when I started my brand. But now, I want to show the true boss babe that I am.”

Even the executive producer for “This Is Life” admits that people are going to learn about a totally different Paris Hilton from the one we grew up learning about. Aaron Saidman explained that whatever the public has read about Paris Hilton to make up her persona is how he perceived about the star as well. He admitted to how wrong he was. Because of this common misunderstanding, there was all the more reason to go ahead with the documentary. He added that there isn’t an article that talks about Hilton’s authentic inner truth.

“And if we did, it was that persona that you were referring to. So, that was why we wanted to hear what she was really like and what she was really going through.”

For Hilton, this is probably a big thing for her to drop the persona she created in her early days.

“I’ve been judged based on a character that I created in the beginning of my career. And now I feel like it’s finally time that people see who the real Paris is.”

The documentary, “This Is Paris”, is coming on YouTube Originals in May.
