Following Loki’s death in Avengers: Infinity War, the future of the character seemed uncertain. However, Kevin Feige announced that the series will debut on Disney+ for Spring 2021 at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. He also stated that the series would be exploring what he did after he stole the Tesseract during the Time Heist in Avengers: Endgame and created a new timeline.
Feige teased the fans by saying:
“I got asked more than any other question after Endgame, ‘where did he go, what happened to him?’” This series will tell you what happened to Loki right after that.”
Whereas, Hiddleston teased his version of Loki in the TV Show:
“It’s very, very exciting because in many ways it’s the character you know, but in a context, you’ve never seen him in before. And if I say any more, I’m gonna say too much. So that’s what’s so thrilling – there’s so much to explore that I haven’t yet explored. That’s very exciting.”
Fans’ theories about “Loki” TV series
The fans are curious to know more about the character as he created an alternative timeline in Avengers: Endgame by removing the Space Stone from the existing timeline.
One of the most likely theories is Loki did not disturb the existing timeline but instead created a new timeline. On the other hand, fans speculate that Loki’s disappearance with the Tesseract is an indication that he will disturb all timelines. The MCU nerds also believe that Loki might have faked his death as the tesseract allows him to see the visions of the future and will face off Thanos again.
Loki will be coming along with a number of other MCU Disney+ series including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Hawkeye.
