DJ Qualls Comes Out | Thanks Fans For Support
The Gay movement has empowered so many individuals to come out courageously with their truth. It’s not something to be shy about anymore. It is an identity that deserves to be known and respected like any other. Actor DJ Qualls is one of those people who have decided to come out as gay. And we’re happy to announce that the news is being received with a whole lot of support and love.
DJ Qualls is most famously known for his role in ‘The Man In The High Castle’. He has also appeared in movies like Road Trip, The New Guy, Hustle & Flow, and The Core. Among popular television shows, Qualls has appeared in The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, Scrubs, Lost and Breaking Bad. Apart from being an actor, he is also a producer and model.
He has also had a tough life and is a cancer survivor. Born in Nashville, and raised in Manchester, DJ Qualls was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma at only age fourteen. He started his career as a community theatre actor and soon landed in bigger roles. He worked as a model for high-end brands like Prada and was photographed by Steve Klein and David LaChapelle.
Coming out as gay
At 41, the actor came out and finally revealed his sexual orientation in San Diego at a taping of “The Jim Jeffries Show,” which airs on Comedy Central.
Later he took to Twitter where he wrote:
It is 11:20 pm. I just came out on stage at @jimjefferies show in San Diego. Yep, I’m gay.
Been gay this whole time. Tired of worrying about what people would think of me. Tired of worrying about what it would do to my career.
He expressed his emotions in a heartfelt note as he made the declaration in public. He also shared how tired he was worrying about what people would think or how this would impact his career.
Many fans and public figures gave out their support and love for DJ Qualls soon after, which was very heartening to see.

He again expressed his utmost appreciation for the positive response. And again shared the weight of carrying this part of him for his entire life. We are so proud of DJ Qualls for taking coming out as gay, and also everyone who has encouraged and applauded him.
