WandaVision Series by Marvel | What we know so far
Finally, it’s time for Wanda Maximoff to reclaim her throne in the MCU as the main lead. Yes, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studio, revealed in recent San Diego Comic-Con 2019 that WandaVision is contributing to the vast slate of Marvel Disney+ Series including Falcon & Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, and Ms. Marvel.
What Kevin Feige had to say
During the panel, Feige announced that the six-episode series will be set after the Avengers events: Endgame and will have a huge impact on Phase 4.
“We have the opportunity to tell their story and show more of what Wanda can do, more of what makes Vision, Vision, and most importantly, reveal a name that I’m not even sure we’ve said in the MCU yet”

MCU veterans joining the cast
The MCU veterans Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are joined as Wanda and Vision while Teyonah Parris has been confirmed in one of the supporting roles as Monica Rambeau. The tone of the series was described as a half 90’s classic sitcom and half Marvel’s spectacular, with Olsen working along with Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness.
Olsen also teased fans when joining the stage that they will eventually get to know Wanda as the Scarlett Witch.
WandaVision might adapt “House of M” Storyline
WandaVision, set to Avengers: Endgame, aims to explore the consequences of Vision’s death on Wanda. It will show us how she copes with grief. Fans believe the show could be an adaptation of the “House of M” storyline.
This infamous comic storyline perfectly captures Wanda as one of the most powerful superheroes in the Marvel Universe. With her ability to manipulate chaos magic, she creates an alternate reality that brings vision back to life. She also uses her powers to create not one but two lives, i.e. her children, Wiccan and Speed.
Moreover, considering the massive budgeted TV series seen over the decade, MCU will assign a movie size budget for each of its Disney + TV shows.
“These shows will be on the same level of quality that you’ve come to expect from Marvel Studios ”
Fortunately, the upcoming WandaVision series will arrive in Spring 2021 on Disney +. Till then, here’s a teaser image to keep you excited.
