Anyway, as we remember Joe Goldberg/Will Bettelheim (Penn Badgley) had moved to the suburbs with his partner Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti).
Here, they were going to have and raise their baby. The season ended with Joe taking a look at yet another neighbor and obsessively fixating, yet again. He said:
“This is just the beginning. Because this is where I had to be exactly where I had to be to meet You.”

Some fans had theories about what is to come. They predicted that this woman will be Joe’s mother.
But Penn Badgley busted the fan-theory and told Bustle:
She’s definitely not his mom,
I can say that.
Speaking to SiriusXM, Penn revealed that You Season 3 will be quite focused on Love and Will’s marriage and relationship. It will uncover how a marriage develops, the imperfections, and the struggles of making it work.
“It’s set up so I think it’s actually kind of like an examination of marriage, in a way.
He’s in the same kind of bind that I think every relationship sees at some point. The feelings of affection have gone. You’re frustrated with the imperfections of the other person. And you’re thinking to yourself, ‘How can this go on?’”
There are also a number of plots that were left untold in Season 2. Where did Ellie go? Will Joe stay in touch with her and keep sending her money?
Forty was killed but he was making a screen adaptation for Beck’s novel. Will this have a profound role in finally exposing Joe’s acts?
And let us tell you something very exciting, show creator Sera Gamble has said that there may be even more seasons after the third one.
“I will say that we have a lot of stories still to tell,
I am not scared at all of saying that we definitely could follow Joe for several more seasons.”
Of course, Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti will return as ‘Joe Goldberg’ and ‘Love Quinn’ in You Season 3.
Other cast members may also return. Like Jennie Oretaga as ‘Ellie Alves’ and Saffron Burrowa as ‘Dottie Quinn’, Love’s mother as well as hacker ‘Will Bettelheim’ played by Robin Lord Taylor.
Flashback characters may also revisit such as James Scully as ‘Forty Quinn’, Ambyr Childers as ‘Candace’ and Carmela Zumbado as ‘Delilah.’
Talking about bringing back dead characters in You season 3, Sera Gamble told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I don’t see why not. Part of the fun of Joe is that he is not very good at doing bad things. He doesn’t plan them well. He doesn’t execute them perfectly like a mastermind. And so there is always the worry that things from his past are going to catch up with him. What’s great about that is it creates a landscape for the show where you do get to revisit your favorite characters moving forward.
“One of my favorite things to do is bring back a dead person to haunt you. So the door is wide open for everybody’s favorite characters.”
